The distilled water is only for rinsing after you have used the degreaser. The final rinse should be distilled water so it doesn't leave spots inside the plastic as it dries.

The purple Zep degreaser has some strong components in it, including sodium hydroxide. Maybe there is an industrial degreaser product in your country that is an equivalent?

I think you need something more dangerous. Usually when they put the citrus in it, it is meant to be "safe..." You could try it, but it might take much longer, if it works at all.
