Dealer has vehicle I ordered listed on their website

So the small world and funny note is that I called this dealer and asked about your maverick. I was told that the customer had picked it up by a confused or non-sober sales person.

Then I figured out how to track the production status from the window sticker.... next time I am looking for an abandoned customer order I will do thar first

Wow. This dealer has a winning staff. Just telling customers whatever they want to get us to the dealership to sell us something. I guess. Although the guy I talked to just said sorry and didn’t try and sell me anything else.

I don’t have a VIN since I don’t believe my order is in production yet. At least the dealer or FORD hasn’t let me know. I was concerned the dealer was being shady as I don’t trust any dealer I’ve ever worked with. I think I was mistaken on this possibly being my order.

So why would the dealer have the vehicle I ordered on their website. Are they taking orders from customers to fill their lot? I ordered over 3 months ago and have checked and they told me it isn’t scheduled to be built yet. So getting tired of waiting I decided to search local inventory to see what was available and found my exact specs on the dealer website where I ordered.

We ordered at the same dealer. My says it should arrive on 12/6. i will need to ask them to confirm in case they sell it before letting me know
