Hey everyone, I am new to this forum and have a Lariat Hybrid on order. I fully expect to wait quite a while to take delivery of my new Maverick, and am very excited. For those of you that have been through this experience, how do you avoid a bad deal at the dealer? My dealer agreed to sell at MSRP, but that does not address dealer fees, which can be arbitrary. Ordering and waiting for a specific vehicle takes all the negotiating power out of the deal. In the past, I have just walked away from a deal I didn't like.
What recommendations do you all have to make sure things are fair to both the dealer and me when actually purchasing the vehicle?
