Contacted local dealer to check where my order was. I ordered XLT Hybrid on 8/26/22. Dealer told me they moved my order to MY23. Called Ford Marketing to see if they can help. Of course they tell me to contact dealership as they can see more than they can. Dealership said that they can't tell me anymore than that. Also, that they would be glad to refund my deposit, as they have been charging $5K ADM.

The lack information has been my gripe the whole time. Also any interaction with my dealership is a waste of time. I have to come this forum for information.

Sounds like they never ordered the truck? Or did order it and sold it?

Dealers make shit up. They do it every day. Sometimes for nefarious reasons, mostly because they don't like to look stupid. I'd take everything your dealer says with a grain of salt. It's very likely you are better informed than he or she is. Follow the forums pay attention to people who are credible. Ignore the rest.

I think you are right. You mean a dealership isn't on my side? They would be okay with not doing anything and pocket $5K?

Preaching to the choir my friend! I informed my dealer all kinds of (what to us) is common knowledge, such as:
-no I did not order an awd Hybrid as those do not exist
-(back in Oct)No, my truck will probably not arrive soon as they aren't OKTB yet.
-Yes, I did place an order already. I gave you $500 and my drivers license.

I honestly have no idea why most of these clowns earn even 1 cent off these "sales". I've had to do all my own research and legwork as far as staying informed of when/if my truck will get built. I DID get a call one time mentioning there was a Mav coming in but there'd be a $5k markup on it. So I guess at least that was some honest information.
