If they match my Carmax offered and I can get some tax savings to offset their processing fee, I think it’s worth doing.
A new infotainment system isn’t part of the appeal for me, I’m 39 and I’d be happy with a cd player in the dash :)
Even if the 2024s are “only” $1000 cheaper, that’s money I can put towards a bed liner, hitch, and some XLT take offs on fb marketplace.
I do like eruption green, so either way it goes, feel good about getting back into a Mav.

Ok so, $30,000. I'd assume they gave you 8,000 for the Toyota ?
so $22,000 plus the Rav 4 yeah I'd bite that.

Yeah, I just asked salesperson about the procare…it was originally $1995 and I said yeah, no.
Gonna ask about that processing fee too.

$27990 is MSRP on the window sticker.
I’m going to put my money down at the bank I finance with, not the dealer. Part of that “discount” is my farm bureau code.

Thanks for taking a look! I appreciate the eyes on it, I dealt with Granger and Carmax before and it’s a lot more straightforward.

edit: Carmax now has a processing fee of $600 in my state fwiw.
My processing fee was $995. Great dealer but wow - non negotiable.

Adjusting out that Pro-care, the discount is less than $600. Should be able to get that reduction almost anywhere. If you're not in a hurry, a 2024 likely will be less. The price quoted is what I paid for my 2024 and I got AWD, CP360, hitch and engine block heater. Doesn't look like the 2025 has any options based on the MSRP.
If you don't find a 2024 when they are available, you could still put in an order for a 2025.

They do, but I’d still be about $500 ahead selling to Carmax even with the savings.
You found a truck that's local, I would sell your car to Carmax, or Carvana, finance with your credit union, and see what discounts you can get thrown in. no one knows how long it will be before they release the 2024's. Also when they release the 2024's, Carmax will be offering less for your trade in.

I'm assuming that the "processing fee" is the same thing as a doc fee, other than yet another line.

In some (all?) states, a dealer cannot vary its doc fee by law.

To match my Granger offer, my local dealer reduced the price further to compensate for their higher doc fee.

Also, last time I checked my mailbox, Ford had a $750 incentive on all Mavericks through 31 March.
It's a private offer and you have to have a personal code to be eligible 2k on trucks/expedition, 1.5k on Bronco and $750 on mav
