I am planning on getting back into a Mav when Long McArthur cuts loose their 24s at a nice discount, but I drove an XL Hybrid in Eruption Green the other day and liked it more than I thought.
I don’t like the big screen/lack of HVAC controls, but I almost never mess with the controls anyway…set it to 72 degrees on the feet and defroster in the winter and just turn it off and on as needed. Roll the windows down like God intended in the spring/summer/fall.
After a few days of wrangling with my local dealer, got them down to below MSRP before taxes/tags.
Deal or no deal?
Thanks for chiming in!

edit: I’m looking at final pricing, not the payments. My credit union beats Ford financing rates all day.

The $795 processing fee is brutal,,,, plus the mandatory Pro Care package.

What is the actual MSRP on the window sticker?

HRG
Yeah, I just asked salesperson about the procare…it was originally $1995 and I said yeah, no.
Gonna ask about that processing fee too.

$27990 is MSRP on the window sticker.
I’m going to put my money down at the bank I finance with, not the dealer. Part of that “discount” is my farm bureau code.

Thanks for taking a look! I appreciate the eyes on it, I dealt with Granger and Carmax before and it’s a lot more straightforward.

edit: Carmax now has a processing fee of $600 in my state fwiw.

I’m going to sell the trade privately, I saw it was listed but they cut out any pricing related to it.

They offered $20,000, Carmax offered $22,000. I’ve never had a dealer come within $1000 of Carmax in my experience.

Does your state adjust the sales tax minus the value of the trade-in? That's some savings to bring into the equation.

They do, but I’d still be about $500 ahead selling to Carmax even with the savings.

I'd get a quote from Long McArthur or Granger? At you least you'd have solid numbers. Maybe it's thousands different, maybe not. It's an easy email or phone call to ask - better than getting sweated and gaslighted by your local dealership.

Also, last time I checked my mailbox, Ford had a $750 incentive on all Mavericks through 31 March.

$29010 from Long McArthur. That’s before I pay 7% TN sales tax and whatever it costs to tag it. So I’d be at $31040 before I shipped it.

Have to say the more I think about it, I’m leaning towards waiting on the 24s to come back and see what kind of deals can be had.
Thanks for all the input! Helped me to think this through. Love this forum.

1k in some care package and processing fee is crazy.

Care package I could live with but the processing fee is BS.

If you don't take the '25, someone else will snatch it. Then when the '24s (cars & clothes :) ) come available and Ford doesn't do squat cuz they know people will buy them anyways, then you are stuck. Might as well get that beautiful eruption green. And the sync is better too (currently).
