I've got the dash cam and taken a peek down there. I can find the OBD connector but the thing I was really wondering about is on the ecoboost, will I need the phantom ignition module? I haven't popped the side panel yet so I don't know if perhaps it's behind that and I just haven't seen it yet or if the ecoboost version doesn't have the cable connectrion I'm looking for. If anyone has pictures of how they wired it or knows even if I'll need this module.

Get a hard wiring kit for your dashcam and go straight to the fuse box on the passenger side floor. Use two add-a-fuse connectors and you'll be fine. I keep forgetting to take pics of how I wired mine and slap them in my build log for future linking references, but there are some floating around the forums. There are a couple unused fuses in there too. Really depends on what you need, i.e. parking mode. But I'd avoid the OBDII port for the fact that if it needs to be accessed, there goes your dashcam. Not the smartest move if you are frequenting dealerships where other folks drive your vehicle for services and such.

I just installed a Garmin 67W, which came with a USB cable for power, so I bought a 12V to 5V USB Converter, and used a Micro2 add-a-circuit installed in the Micro3 un-used fuse location 1/2, which is switched power. If you also need un-switched (on all the time) you'll need to add a 2nd tap. This is the fuse box location under the glove compartment.
