Wild to think about but: $15,500 in 1990 is the equivalent of about ~$38k in today's money!I have had my 1990 Ranger XLT 2WD since Jan 1990. ($15,500) They wanted $2K more for 4x4.
I keep it around as a backup vehicle. I could not part with it. (For Sentimental Reasons)

Wow. When you put it in that context the XLT hadn’t really increased in price from then to now but there is a lot more in them today.Wild to think about but: $15,500 in 1990 is the equivalent of about ~$38k in today's money!
Everything but metal!Wow. When you put it in that context the XLT hadn’t really increased in price from then to now but there is a lot more in them today.
I’d love to have my 1990 XLt back. If only it didn’t get t-boned At 45 mph and end up off the road after 3-4 spins. It was a great truck and kept me safe.I have had my 1990 Ranger XLT 2WD since Jan 1990. ($15,500) They wanted $2K more for 4x4.

I had a 1985... The front looked like your 83', I still like the look of the front end... Better.
My 1990 Ranger came with a Gem Top. It has a Ford emblem on it.They're both in better shape than my 02 4.0l Ranger. It's survived deer and black ice smashup incidents, and has always been parked outside at 7,703 feet above sea level. Her paint is faded and she's admittedly kinda a rust bucket. Not so purty to behold, but built Ford Tuff and still does her thang. I think I just scored a free topper from a guy who just doesn't need it anymore! Well almost free, I have to buy some topper shell clamps. Old heavy ass purple-ish fiberglass model Leer. Woo-hoo!
Great-looking ride, well looked after. My dad’s ‘02 Ranger, 3.0 V6 2WD. Good looking, great riding truck. Sold after he passed away & my mom quit driving.![]()
Thanks - he got a job after retirement just long enough to pay for the truck. It was his retirement “gift” to himself.Great-looking ride, well looked after.
