I'm interested in knowing if any other owners have had the bad luck we had. We went to pick up our special ordered hybrid at the dealership. I encouraged my wife to drive the new truck from the dealership, about an hour to our place. Enroute on the freeway, heavy dual lane traffic reduced speed from 115kph to around 90-95. Some construction had been completed on the shoulders of this portion of the 400 highway (Signage read "Reduce speed to 80"), leaving some sandy grit on the surface of the pavement. When we got home I found a couple of paint chips and damaged fins on the upper and lower rad (more so the lower portion below the bumper). Of all the luck, it's damaged before we can even complete the maiden voyage! As we drive a lot of rural roads, the first thing we did was install a fia screen up top, and fabricated one for the lower portion. They look good and I'm leaving them on year round for protection from sand-throwing snowplows and bugs in the summer. Any other suggested solutions?
