With everything I have been thru lowering my truck lately it got me to thinking. I am just wanting to cure my curiosity, but has anyone cut the stock springs to lower their Maverick? I know we used to do this back in the day to get the mini trucks lowered as well as other vehicles but I was wondering if it could still be done today? I know there are manufacturers out there, and I have tried 2 of them, that make lowering springs. I am not saying I am going to do it on mine, I was just curious. Hear me out on my thinking. The 2 sets of springs I have tried have what is believed to be dead coils in them. The HRs are at the top of the spring while the Eibach's are in the middle. The stock springs have no dead coils as far as I can tell. I know cutting them would make them shorter (lowering the truck) and stiffer, right? My mind is always working so I was just thinking out loud. I may be completely wrong, and if so don't hesitate to tell me. I was just curious what you guys thought?
