Has anyone experienced a current draw with a plugnplaykit adapter and kicker amp and sub? I’m experiencing a parasitic draw and the ford dealer won’t touch it but claims it’s my aftermarket stereo. I’ve pulled the fuses off both the sub and amp until i can successfully test all of it but still see a significant voltage drop on the battery overnight. I expected removing the fuse would isolate this but concerned the harness may be affecting it. My overnight voltage drop is .2-.3 volts.

I also have the kia mirror and some footwell lights installed. i never expected them to have a draw of that nature but likely will disconnect them while i troubleshoot. the kia mirror is connected such that it only gets power when the car is on.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

There isn't any dedicated remote turn-on signal from the OEM head unit, so unless you wired a separate tap to fuse 3/6 or somewhere, you're likely having the amp turn on when unintended. These trucks make all kinds of random bloops and beeps and crackles and pops, even without the key in them, so any audio devices with "auto signal sensing" via the speaker-level inputs will come on.

Thank you Carlitos. I do have the Amp and Sub blue wire connected to fuse 6 and have seen the amp shut on/off based on the ignition. This was the first thing I changed. I’m still hunting.

A follow up on my investigation. I did current draw test on my battery while off. I am seeing between 0070-0080 mA after about 15 minutes. I just noticed after approximately 30 minutes it dropped to 0007-0008 mA. I assume this isn't a meter adjustment.

What has everyone seen on their Mavericks as a draw when truck shutsdown?
