COVP

Hi All,

First time posting - really enjoy reading the forums - The group is more well informed than the dealers themselves!

Ok, placed my order on the 19th. Received the confirmation from Ford later that day.
When placing the order, they took a copy of my drivers license and signed paperwork (good sign I see)

I've read about the ROVP/COVP - called the dealer the next day asking for a tracking # / screenshot it was approved.
They told me they haven't gotten around to doing it since they had around 200 orders to submit the COVP for - but that it should be taken care of within a week.
Called last week, they still hadn't submitted, but assured it would be done and they knew the deadline is Oct. 5th

Called Thursday, they advised they have submitted many of them but ford has to go through the process to approve so they can't provide approval screenshot yet?
Am I misunderstanding something - how, exactly does the COVP process work - how important is it, should I be more on top of??? Going to call a little later today!

I'm hearing the same thing from my dealer. COVP is submitted but they haven't got the approval back from Ford yet.

Okay, your order was placed with covp and is considered pending, even if you got the order confirmed email from Ford. Your dealer is waiting for the confirmation which may not come for another week or 2 because Ford maually confirms them and it takes a long time because there were so many orders at once.... 2 things.......1. you should probably give your dealer a break for the next 2 weeks. There is nothing they can do. 2. Long Mcarthur Ford has a live youtube show by Tim Bartz, The Ford Video Guy. It's every Tuesday night starting at 8pm eastern time, and most of the good information from MTC comes from him. He answers questions about an hour into his program. They are all on youtube covering many topics. He has quite a following.
