I sold my 2023 Lariat hybrid to a friend. I wanted the AWD as this truck will go to my daughter within a year or so. I picked up my 2025 Lariat hybrid yesterday. Many of you have covered a few of these but here are some quick notes that makes the 2025 standout as a better (and pricier) truck for me:
Bottom Line: For the money, it’s worth the upgrade. We will keep this truck for years.
- -AWD: when you drive it, you feel all wheels…it’s a sturdier ride and feel.
- -Larger Tires: It’s a taller truck and it has a stronger drive profile. As a tall person, love it.
- -Space White Metallic Paint: OMG, don’t think twice about this color… it’s like a clean wrap with a blend of white, grey, and blue.
- -Ford Badge: with the space white metallic paint, the Ford badge on the front and back is black (not blue). I feel like I got a small piece of the BAP for free. The black pop is bad a$$! (I ordered the black titanium integrated lettering for the tailgate. My SoCal dealer gave it to me for free.)
- -Sync 4: night and day upgrade. With the ease of Siri and Apple CarPlay, I feel like Ford got it right. The previous Sync 3 felt like 2010.
- -Front Parking Sensors: game changer… my 2023 didn’t have them and parking is easier and safer now. This is underrated.
- -Safety Features (Including Cameras): I have a newer Tesla. This truck rivals Teslas layers of safety and camera view options.
- -Two Things I Don’t Like: 1) The fuel gauge is wonky. Easy to figure it out but someone new to the trick may believe the tank is empty; and 2) Ford should pre-install the tailgate assist.
Bottom Line: For the money, it’s worth the upgrade. We will keep this truck for years.
