All kidding aside, what a great picture. The NA Miata is one of my favorite cars and your picture makes me wonder why I sold my 1997 M Edition.

Haha I feel you. And damn yeah the 97 M edition is like the top tier NA in my book. That British Racing Green is beautiful. I've always been partial to the wine red colored NA too, but I also want it bright so people don't hit me. This is my 3rd Miata, the first 2 were totalled out after people hit them. But I've always loved them. Took a break from them after I lost the second one. Was tired of getting hit. But found this one and treat it like glass. Lives under a cover doesn't go out in rain, snow or salt. But finally got to take it out yesterday for the first time this year. I always look at it and wonder why I have it all winter since it sits. But the moment I get back in it I remember all to well why I own it and why I will never sell it.

Thanks for letting me gush about my Miata. I do enough raving about my Maverick. The Miata doesn't get enough.

I thought this was a Maverick forum? We are going to turn it into a Miata forum instead...

The 1997 M Edition was terrific and sold for a pretty penny on BAT (you won't be able to find it in the auction results since I had BAT remove my account). It was my fourth NA Miata. The other three included one of the earliest 1990s (story for another time and probably a direct message) and two 1991 Limited Edition BRGs. The Miata bug bit my dad too -- he has owned two NAs and recently sold his NC. All three of them were red with a black interior.

I sold mine since I wasn't driving it. I reached for the keys for my Mercedes-Benz 450SLC (see it here on Hemmings) more than the other fun cars, so I sold them off. The inventory reduction didn't last long since the 450SLC is still in the garage and has now been joined by a 2002 M-B C32 AMG and an amazing one-owner 2001 M-B C240 special ordered with a 6-speed manual transmission.

I hope you get some more nice weather and can enjoy top down drives in the Miata.

Maverick content: I had an interesting series of events driving my Maverick today. I drive a combined 22 miles round trip to and from work, which rarely includes adventures. Yet, today, I was cut off on at least four occasions. However, I also had two Maverick owners wave at me. One followed me into my company's parking lot and asked about the Maverick. We stood and talked for over 30 minutes. I think he was "on the fence," I hope I pushed him to buy one.

Oh man sounds like you have an amazing garage! Maybe another Miata will make it back in there someday.

As for the Maverick content. So jealous you've gotten some waves. I've always driven a Miata or had a Jeep and always loved that I could wave at other people that shared the same car as me and would get a wave back or a short conversation at a light. I am on my second Maverick (first got totaled) and have waved at I swear every Maverick in my town by now and have yet to have one of them even looking at me to see the wave. Maybe someday...
