Chrome AWD Emblem Replacement

Slowly but surely I've been getting rid of all the exterior chrome on my truck.

Today I took off the stock chrome AWD letters on the tailgate and replaced with a $9 matte black AWD badge from Amazon.

I plasti dipped mine. It came out decent. I more or less wanted to try the stuff. Such a small emblem nobody would see any imperfections anyway. Side note we have the same truck color and I did the same mods with the black letters and ford emblem covers. Also added the AVS bug shield 2 on the front.

I replaced my AWD emblem too...by removing it completely Once the weather warms I am going to try and tape/Plasti-Dip the front Oval while it's on the truck.

I saw these -- as I was looking for a black emblem as well. I was going to just 'dip mine when the weather gets nice. I didn't really like how the letters are "connected together" on this aftermarket emblem. I ended up going a totally different route. I'm going to remove my existing AWD badge, and I ordered a black Ecoboost AWD badge that goes on the Explorer Police Interceptor.
