Exactly what I have been looking for! Thank you so much. Mind if I ask what brand of roof rack is on your yellow beauty?

I have the need to haul long sticks of baseboard, an occasional 2x4- 16' or two, etc. and this looks like the perfect solution. Thanks for sharing.

Yakima rack = much appreciated. I can probably use my FordPass points to purchase it.

So what did you modify? Just added another hole in the bar?

Basically. Big hole on the short part of the L, and small hole on the long part of the L.

great idea. I might shorten the long arm a couple inches to match the roof rack level.

Very slick. 2 more ideas, you could cut/sleeve/pin the long section to make it adjustable length/height to better match your racks while keeping the max length for bed hauling. Another thought is looking at how fold-up hitch carries work and copy that so that it just folds up into that upright position.

The "T" shape already comes with 5-6 levels. But it needs to be on the shortest ones.
