Charging System Maintenance error code

After returning from my month long holiday I reconnected my battery on my 2.0 L engine

Charging system maintenance error code keeps showing.

Battery working fine, is there a way to close this error code without a trip to the dealership?

Wait.

After it sees enough time with no issues with the system, it'll go back to a pending code with no money light.
Eventually it'll disappear from pending too if no issues seen.

I have started this vehicle at least 50 times since the Service Charging System light has shown up. Is that long enough or should I keep waiting?

It's not the starting, it's the charging, from the sound of the error.
Unless you looked something up that said battery specifically.

Those words would mean the alternator, not the battery, more likely.
That's why I said enough time with no issues.

And perhaps you really do have a problem.
Get any sparks attaching to the post?
May have damaged a diode in the alternator and it can tell it's output ain't right now.
Or damaged the Battery Sensor and it can't get a read on the charge level, or it's wrong.

Then again, the battery is part of the alternator circuit - you rechecked that both cables are firmly attached?

You measured your resting voltage in the morning?
You disconnected to save the battery - but they drain anyway, even AGM's, though less than FLA.
