Center console lid now feeling loose

So I'm driving back home from work today and I'm hearing this new squeaking sound. Come to find out it's coming from the center console. That is no longer sitting flush when you close but now makes a squeaking sound when you bear weight on it.

Check the latch under the lid. There's a piece of felt that almost came off of mine. I re-glued it and so far so good.

I rest my arm on it whilst driving, but that's it.

Check the latch under the lid. There's a piece of felt that almost came off of mine. I re-glued it and so far so good.

Same with mine. The felt came loose. I reattached and problem solved.

Resting my elbow and squeaks never used to do to it

so it seems to only be make the noise if i rest my elbow on the edge of the lid. I still have the felt pad on the latch it just doesn't seem to be sitting flush closed like it once was which is super interesting i haven't used it that much just to store some extra parts and such that's it.

Well I fixed it two felt sliders on the side that was making the noise and now peace. I now can rest my arm wherever I want on the center console and no more lose feelings.

Nice work.

The latch felt is such an amateur hackjob that the felt probably doesn't even have a part number that the dealer could order lol.
