Firstly I wanna thank @KdeB and the rest of the Maverick truck club for giving me the Honor and choosing me to be your guys celebrity for the celebrity choice and luncheon
what was an incredible honor turned into an incredible chance of luck and an amazing memory I’ll always remember. I’ll start the story with I lost my Father at the end of April he was my best friend and the one who got me into cars, fords, and especially mustangs. He owned a 2001 saleen Mustang convertible that was the first car I ever learned to drive in. So when my dad passed away me and my wife did everything we could to honor him including specially designing his casket to look like his beloved Saleen Mustang. Fast forward to Carlisle me and my wife had a plan to stand in line and hopefully meet Steve Saleen and maybe just maybe show him my dad’s casket. Well by a strange and unbelievable turn of events when we were at the celebrity luncheon we heard a voice from behind say “are these seats taken” then after saying no I looked up and it was no other than Steve Saleen and his wife! I could not believe it at all that i literally started shaking. I was fully able to show him his wife and his daughter my dad’s casket and they absolutely loved it and had me send photos to them! Then we proceeded to sit together at the celebrity lunch and just talk cars and life for well over an hour and if it wasn’t for this club I would have never gotten that experience or met someone who meant so much to my family so I could never repay that favor!
ANYWAY being the celebrity judge was a huge Honor and there was so many beautiful trucks to choose from it was really hard to make a decision! Everyone did such an awesome job between the tent setup, the raffles and just the overall presentation of the club that I truly hope to see grow even larger next year!
The other part of Carlisle for me was my truck was not on the showfield I had the absolute of having both my mustang and Maverick down at the UPR Products truck on manufacturers row where the guys at upr used my truck as kinda a test bed where we found out the engine dress up kit from a 19-23 mustang 5.0 will fit the Maverick and the crankcase beather they just released for the full size Bronco also fits the Maverick along with there dual billet catch cans!
again I had an amazing weekend and cannot thank everyone that did help make it so memorable attached are some photos I got from the entire weekend!
