I did the carbon Fiber letters not just to be different but to try and stay with the blackout theme that the truck has.

Pictures don’t seem to capture how cool they really look on the truck.

That was probably the easiest external modification that I can ever remember doing.

I just did the black/white American flag one and you’re right! Easy and cheap at only $20!

I have a carbon fiber theme going on, but have 3d matte tailgate lettering (hmmm, may need to change that).
My carbon fiber theme includes mirror caps, door handle covers, gas cap cover, tailgate latch cover, side pillar covers, and a “limited edition” cf badge sourced from Latvia(!) on carbon fiber side vents.
On the inside it includes the door handles, guage cluster top and bezel, steering wheel, light switch, radio bezel, center screen bezel, HVAC controls and console. I may still add air vent covers and top tray.
All except the Latvia badge came from Amazon, eBay and Ali Express. I have some cf decals I may or may not apply, and may remove the gas cap cover as being a bit “too much”. 😉

It is difficult to get a good picture due to reflections(unless you have, and can use, pro lighting). I noticed that when I installed my matt red letters.

Now that is some serious Carbon Fiber!

I agree with your observation that some things might be over the top. I looked around for a carbon fiber bug shield for the hood. If I find one I will probably stop there.

I did do the CF console cover for the inside and everyone that saw it said that it transformed the appearance of the console from looking plane to expensive looking. I think I only paid $30 for it on Amazon.

The main reason that I looked into doing it was that I discovered some bad scratches on the console top after I got it home from the dealership. I knew no one was going admit to anything. It was a good excuse to do it. The Carbon Fiber look is so easy to get hooked on.

Looks great! I'm thinking of the burl wood letters from Tufskinz for my HPR when it gets here.

I did carbon fiber letters too, I really like the subtle look. Lots of neat options on these😎
