Brilliant post!Mr. King runs his dealership this way to help the working class in his community.
He actually gives a shit about people.
Always shop for a good dealer first then shop for the vehicle.
Common sense is not that common these days. The Internet fills you full if bullshit to the point your numb and just want the car deal over.
Because of this they own you. Don’t be weak minded.
Grow a pair AND do your homework.

One of my favorite aspects of what Tim Bartz @fordvideoguy and this forum started doing in 2021 is 'democratizing' the Ford buying experience. They helped us understand the ordering guide, the terminology, how scheduling worked, the transport process, how the sale process worked, who the good dealers are (plus who to avoid), and so much more.
We walked into the dealerships as informed, intelligent, and reasonable buyers. We also learned how to be patient while purchasing exactly what we wanted on mutually acceptable terms.
Personally, I learned that buying and servicing from the same dealership wasn't necessary. My favorite Ford dealership for service (and the largest reason we own Fords) is the last dealer I would purchase a new Ford (or used vehicle) from. It was worth it for me to fly out to Kansas and drive back 2 new Fords due to the exceptional way Long McArthur Ford treated us during the sales process.
In conclusion, I support everything @Cherokee suggests here in their post:
- Shop dealers until you find the right one (and there is a list of good dealers here on the MTC forum).
- Get educated and do your homework. And,
- Avoid instant gratification.
