Possible mine are not functioning correctly because even a light touch will usually put them in full 1 touch mode. Occasionally you can feather touch for slight downward motion but generally you need push down then quick up which makes precision a pain

Yea maybe something wrong, get them checked, becasue I dont think it should be as tough as you say it is. Perhaps your one touch is set to activate at the top of the press which I would understand the frustration then.

If you know anyone with a mav, I know that's hard to do, try theirs out.

They are definitely a feature I would rather not have on most vehicles. My KW has them and they fine. Positive click and good bit of pressure to engage it. My Kia is a PITA. Very hard not engage the one touch down.

Who is to lazy to keep their hand on a switch the time it takes to put a window down.

I think people believe you are complaining about a normally functioning window that is the same as most other windows.

I think you might have a messed up button that engages incorrectly at the top of the push, you should get that looked at.

Yea. I’m going take it in when I get a chance. Definitely does not function properly with a light touch as it still goes into 1 touch mode 95% of the time.

If you're having that hard of a time, only the dealer can help you determine if it's defective.

As designed, it's not hard at all to hold down the button just hard enough that the window starts moving and release when you want to stop. It's also not hard at all to fully depress the button into auto mode and then press it again to stop.

So happy to be back in a vehicle that has 4-door 1-touch up/down again.

no that’s not hard. Try stop it in an exact spot near the top as in where window deflectors end. The way mine works it’s very difficult to be precise if you want to feather it a fraction up or down.

yes it’s a boutique niche issue but I like my windows right at the edge of deflectors and I can more easily achieve this in my trucks without 1 touch.

🤷‍♂️ Mine are able to be precisely manipulated. Either user or hardware error here, what else is there to advise you?

Nothing. Now I know it’s a defect I can get them to fix it instead of disabling 1 touch by messing with wires.

that’s helpful

Just to wrap this up, I stopped at dealership on way to work and we compaired to a bronco and there’s definitely a software or wiring issue with the sensitivity as it goes into 1 touch mode even on feather touches on top

no time to leave vehicle so not sure solution yet.

See also: Tesla building cars with heated seats but disabling them unless you pay extra, etc, etc.
In Tesla's case some of that post-sale features purchasing is to play games with EV rebate MSRP caps.

Wasn't even getting into some of the games Tesla has played outside the US in that regard... More so the fact that the $35k Model 3 is vaporware, they never even fully engineered it. What they sold was a more expensive model with all the hardware, just disabled in software. So they could say they sold a few and it wasn't a lie (though it really was given how impossible it was to even buy it, and for how little time). Regardless, the hardware is a sunk cost. When you buy the car, they're already out the hardware cost. Then they offer you the "opportunity" to pay more to use the hardware you already own, the extra stuff they threw in but can't take back.

Meanwhile, there are those on here who will complain even though Ford has essentially committed to selling 15% of Mavericks, more than 1 in 7, as XL trim, which have nominal profit margins at best.

But that's a rather large tangent from the 1-touch up/down windows.
