I'm glad to see a lot more June and July Hybrid orders getting scheduled today. I actually thought I had a chance...but no email again. Today marks exactly 8 months since I made my order June 10th. The Maverick was announced on June 8th and June 9th was the earliest most dealers took orders. There weren't a lot on Day 1, but I think all those orders were already built or have all been scheduled now.
I ordered from a small dealership, Upper Marlboro Ford in Maryland. I even removed the spray in bed liner back in December to help my chances. It didn't.
I'm the same guy that posted 2 weeks ago talking about how my dealer said no more hybrids were coming in and my order would be rolled over to a 2023. (No more hybrids to HIS dealership apparently) But after numerous calls back to him, Ford Customer Service, and to the new complaint line, and even through Ford on social media, all with no help...it seems imminent.
But now, I'm starting to care less. I hit a breaking point. I now want to see if now, or at least very soon, if I will become the longest waiting Maverick orderer on the planet without being scheduled.
If that is confirmed, I will continue to keep waiting endlessly, and maybe Ford will reward me with a free keychain and coffee mug when I finally see my truck in 2023.
But I'm probably asking for too much.
