Can’t get Journey to work

Dear Ford Engineers

• I need help getting Ford Pass "My Journeys" to work with my iPhone.
• I'm hoping the engineers can publish a Procedure and share with the community.
• I got it to work once, but then it stopped.

To start this procedure from new, I make sure:
• I have removed the iPhone from the Maverick Sync 3
• I have removed the Maverick from CarPlay history within iPhone settings.
• I have removed the Maverick from my iPhone Bluetooth history

I then try the following - but without any success so far:

1. First disable CarPlay within the iPhone before connecting.
iPhone > Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay > Disable

2. Connect iPhone to Maverick via USB cable

3. Enable CarPlay in your iPhone

iPhone > Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay > disable

4. Select your iPhone from the Sync 3 system.

5. Drive around the block to make a journey.


- I have also connected the iPhone via Bluetooth
- The Maverick does pair/connect to iPhone via Bluetooth - but only for indexing contacts, etc. No CarPlay of course.


MY SETTINGS:

Ford Pass App:
- "Automatically via Applink" selected
- "After each recorded journey" selected

iPhone:
- iPhone > Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Ford Pass > Always
- iPhone > Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay > Enabled
- iPhone > General > CarPlay > My Car > Ford Maverick > Allow CarPlay While Locked > Enabled

I got the first Journey ever to record.

When I got to my destination I disabled CarPlay from the Sync 3 screen. I kept the Maverick on.

As soon as I disconnected CarPlay, my iPhone opened up Ford Pass on its own and the journey recorded.

:) Thank You.
It all stopped working - not sure why.

Mine does't work either. Using iPhone. i see that I have to choose between Airplay and Journeys? I can't have both? If so i guess I won't be recording any Journeys. That's lame. On the plus side my radio hasn't had any of the glitches or freezes that some people are experiencing. Don't stop believing.

Woke up this morning and got a message that I had a journey recorded. So strange.

Try this and let me know if it works for you :

• Removed the iPhone from the Maverick Sync 3
• Removed the Maverick from CarPlay history within iPhone settings.
• Removed the Maverick from my iPhone Bluetooth history

Then do the following :

1. First disable CarPlay within the iPhone before connecting.
iPhone > Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay > Disable

2. Connect iPhone to Maverick via USB cable

3. Enable CarPlay in your iPhone

iPhone > Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay > disable

4. Select your iPhone from the Sync 3 system.

5. Drive around the block to make a journey.


You should see a journey notification the next day

Tried it again today - but I could not get Journey to record. Oh well. It worked once so not sure why I had no luck today.
It's been a mystery. But still they try to see. Why something good can fail so bad.

Getting serious here, it's quirky for me. It seems like half of the trips I take don't show up.

Still, I find the sensitivity for Journeys ridiculous. I'm not mashing the accelerator to the floor but it seems to think that I'm tracking my Maverick.

On the other hand, Gas Buddy flags a hard brake or two but that's about it.

you are not alone. Mine was working great. Then all at once Journey just stop. I been playing with it for a month and it still does not work. Ford Mtr. Co if your are out there do something about this.
