Dear Ford Engineers
• I need help getting Ford Pass "My Journeys" to work with my iPhone.
• I'm hoping the engineers can publish a Procedure and share with the community.
• I got it to work once, but then it stopped.
To start this procedure from new, I make sure:
• I have removed the iPhone from the Maverick Sync 3
• I have removed the Maverick from CarPlay history within iPhone settings.
• I have removed the Maverick from my iPhone Bluetooth history
I then try the following - but without any success so far:
1. First disable CarPlay within the iPhone before connecting.
iPhone > Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay > Disable
2. Connect iPhone to Maverick via USB cable
3. Enable CarPlay in your iPhone
iPhone > Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay > disable
4. Select your iPhone from the Sync 3 system.
5. Drive around the block to make a journey.
- I have also connected the iPhone via Bluetooth
- The Maverick does pair/connect to iPhone via Bluetooth - but only for indexing contacts, etc. No CarPlay of course.
MY SETTINGS:
Ford Pass App:
- "Automatically via Applink" selected
- "After each recorded journey" selected
iPhone:
- iPhone > Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Ford Pass > Always
- iPhone > Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps > CarPlay > Enabled
- iPhone > General > CarPlay > My Car > Ford Maverick > Allow CarPlay While Locked > Enabled
