Looking at a new camper. Tongue weight is 430. Do you think 30 pounds will cause any issues?

Do you have the 4K tow package? Will you be towing only on flat land? Do you know the dry weight of the trailer?

To avoid trailer sway you need 10-15% tongue weight, so if you keep the weight under 4k & distribute it properly you should be good. Also check into a friction type sway bar.

You'll be fine.
A little on the heavy side I have found means almost no sway. Go for it. You'll love it.

$100 air bags on the rear will reduce squat ond bounce as well.

FYI, the manufacturer rates it at 510 Dry hitch weight you can bet it will be well over 600 with gear in the rig. Most people have no clue what they can tow safely. They think because you can pull the weight you are good to go. I can tell you with 100% certainty you will be well over the manufacturer's weights so if you are close you can bet you will exceed your truck's ratings. I'm sure you can pull it but how will it react in an emergency? The first time you get trailer sway you will rethink your decision, I can promise you that.

You need to figure out the actual tongue weight loaded for a trip and figure out how much the gear and people in the truck weigh. Then subtract it from the payload to see where you are weight-wise. Most people will tell you that being overweight is fine and you may never have a problem but if you do and your actions put you or others at risk then you have to deal with your decision.

Okay. I've verified the tong weight is 430. RZ list 510 as max with 2 tanks and 2 batteries. I will be the only person in the truck. And 100 pounds of supply's in the camper, mostly beer. So I will be under the gross combined. So off I go!

510 is dry weight per manufacturer's website and most of your storage will be in the front. I'm not sure why you started a thread asking if being over 30 will be a problem when you will far exceed 30. There is no way you will be at 100 Lbs with all the gear you will need in a RV after you figure drinks, food, and everything you will need to hookup the RV. The first time you get tow on any wind at all with a 22' trailer behind a maverick you will know what I am talking about.

Like I said before if you don't mind towing overweight go for it but don't try to convince yourself that you are underweight because you won't be. Post your setup on one of the RV websites like IRV2 and see what they say as they have more experience than most of the people here.

There can be different configurations for the same trailer.
You can intentionally put more stuff in the back if need be.
Lots of options.
But heavier is better than lighter for no sway.
And with proper brakes on the trailer; stopping the Maverick is not an issue.
Going uphill MAY be, but I think you'll agree driving slower uphill is a nuisance, but not a safety risk.

The configuration of the trailer he listed is 510 dry weight and as most know the manufacturer will state as light as possible. My 22MLS has a dry hitch weight of 645 but loaded for camping (not packed heavy) it's 850. Most of the storage the trailer has is in the front where the pass thru storage is. I don't agree with heavier being better, it has more to do with keeping the trailer and truck level so it doesn't squat. You want the weight over the axles not on the bumper. I never said stopping or even pulling the trailer would be a problem. The problem is towing a 22' billboard down the road behind a maverick in less-than-optimal conditions.

People will justify anything so they feel better about what they do. The fact is the trailer has a dry tongue weight of 510 and will be over 600 with the camper ready for camping. After you load gear, the trailer will be over 4K. If OP is asking if the trailer fits with the maverick specs the answer is no. If he is asking will he be able to tow it without any problems, well that depends on what happens on the road.
