So you have to have a Weight Distribution Hitch in order to attach the curt "sway a way too"?
Can it be used as a standalone product. That can hook right up to your trailer's tongue, without a WDH?

I have a WDH but didn't want to open that can of worms here ... but as it says in the image above, you don't need one to use the sway control kit :

Keeping sway in check without a weight distribution hitch.
With a Curt anti-sway kit.
A Weight Distribution Hitch is Not needed.👍

Cue the worry warts about drilling into the trailer tongue.

No, that is a standalone friction style sway control device. Most weight distribution hitches have integrated sway control.
Most of them have integrated provisions to mount a sway control kit, i.e. the ball mount has a tab for the sway control device

FWIW my camper doesn't sway at highway speeds even with the sway control bar fully open. I have it mainly for better stability against sidewinds or when passing / being passed by semis

The kit I bought come with a weldable plate so I'm just going to add it to my existing mount.

Single axle trailers don't benefit from the mechanical advantage that tandem/tridem/quad trailers do, in keeping themselves in a straight line. They like to walk around, bounce around, get blown around. I dont even mess with anything over 60, and just work within my means.
I have a 2015 KZ Spree Escape E19BH

Edit: I'll add that I do not use a WDH, I have hundred of miles with my camper behind the truck. If loading isn't your issue and youre getting insane sway at 50, have the dealer take a look.
