Really only 25-30k orders on the books. This seems low mine is 13321 with a October 18 build date.

Mine is 13760 and also oct 18th week build

The dealer was like you can't buy this car it will be destroyed but we can order yours. Later talking with the ford rep he said this is a pre production and will just be used for show and tell. His opinion on the 2.0 fwd driving it around. he said hardly any torque steer and it is zippy. He had no comment on hybrid but this does confirm ford was building in late may.

Do we estimate they have 2-4k pre production trucks that have VINs that take up some of the initial number range?

My build is next week, first retail batch, last 5 of VIN is 04358.

Remember also they are making ecoboosts for dealer lots.

I don’t see him bragging. He has a legit question. I am interested why retail production started out at 4K+ also. Perhaps preproduction and early dealer stock?

Not sure if it is the same on maverick but in the past the last 6 digits of your vin tells you production number. Being a short run only has five..Highest I have heard of is 15323. Ford looks to be on track to fill 25-30 percent of the 100k order by the end of the year

Makes sense. Mine is 1 of 7 launch editions my dealer is getting starting early Oct. last 5 digits is 01421.
