Hey guys,

I took apart a Bronco Sport instrument cluster from an Outer Banks (mid-tier cluster) and swapped the gauge faces into my Maverick. I love the way they look!

Here's a few photos and an install video on how I did it.

I liked it too, I had the full Bronco Sport instrument cluster in my Escape and I miss the blocky lettering on the screen.

Would you happen to still have the part number for the Outer Banks cluster please?

Sorry if I missed this answer, but that bronco cluster wont just fit into the maverick? Is that why you took them apart?

It will fit, but there's a few reasons I just swapped the face.

1.) you can't adjust mileage down, you can only adjust it up, and the Bronco cluster had 30k miles on it. My truck was brand-new at the time.

2.) the Bronco Sport had all the Bronco images on it during start-up and while driving, and I wanted to keep the Maverick programming with all of the Maverick images.

There are some other operational differences, the pinout is not the same on the BS cluster so not all functions will operate the same.

If anyone is looking for a relatively inexpensive BS cluster as seen in OP's video to make the face swap I have a spare I can part with.

I see! Thanks for the info. I am just looking for an FX4 to swap from my 4" now but those dials are very cool looking!

I thought I had seen everything on this Forum but was pleasantly wrong. I'm digging this! I get that it's a small change for some people but I really like the subtle nuances with the blue on the tach and speedo as well as the font...I also was on the fence with the Escape Digital cluster conversion as I actually like the analog needles. @DTF-Garage Thanks for doing this work and posting an awesome 'how-to' video!

Hmm, with an education from @NoVaJimmy it seems the BS Outer Banks gauge face won’t swap over due to the difference in digital/analog temp and gas gauges, respectively. I’m thinking the Bronco Sport Base gauge face may then be a 1 for 1 swap onto the Maverick XL IPC since it has analog needles for temp and gas? Anyone out there much smarter than me have any thoughts? Yes, I know this is a lot of work to get some blue on the gauge and a different font!

That's a good call, I just looked on ebay and the base Bronco Sport IPC face is nicer looking than the base Mav IPC face.
