I was replacing my speakers on my 2023 Lariat and started with the two front corner speakers. Pretty stout compared to the replacements. Anyway I removed them and didn't get back to replacing them due to the frigid cold spell. So I probably had them open wired (not shorted though) for a few weeks while still driving the truck. When I hooked up the new speakers I heard a lot of static. Tried the old ones too and still heard the static. I most have blown the amp section for them by leaving the wires unhooked. The rest of the system is fine. I'll probably just live with it unless I try to tap the front door wires into the dash speakers.

Bummer. I wouldn't think the amp would be damaged just because there was no load. I would try every way I knew to reset it to see if it resolves - system reboot, battery off for a while, Forscan settings, etc...

You probably could run components off the door speaker signals and send the high-pass portion up to the dash, but there'd be a decent amount of re-wiring involved.

The second pic in this post is the wiring diagram if you need it: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...d-rear-speaker-replacement.78522/post-1298199

Thanks...I may try a complete system reboot and kill the battery connection for a night. I may wire directly on the output for the tweeters just to confirm the unit is blown and not the speakers.

That shouldn’t have happened. Besides open wires is an infinite load. Not 4 ohms.
I’d do the old unhook the battery and reset dance just for shits n giggles, can’t hurt right.

My passenger side door speaker started the "pop/rattle/static" the other night so I will let you know what the dealer finds. Scheduled for this coming Wednesday for service.

If this is a Non-B&O then the door and dash speakers are powered off the same channel.

If it is B&O then the tweeters are powered off of the B&O amplifier.
