That's awesome - I used to own a 72 Maverick with 302 V8 and 3-Speed. It was quite a sleeper with stock exhaust. Most of the weight was the motor and transmission. A buddy of mine had a Comet GT that was a screamer.
I always liked the old Maverick logo - it would have been cool if they had "branded" it on the tailgate.

Seriously, how cool would that have been if they'd have stamped that into the tailgate instead!!
