Bird dropping etch

Anyone know of a good way to remove bird shlt etch in paint without buying an expensive polisher? Truck came in uncovered and had a turd on it. Was gone when washed but during my first wax I noticed the slight surface etching.

not sure, but a clay bar might help.

Wash with finger tip with rag & Dawn soap. Rinse off
Dry thoroughly
Apply a mild "compound"-like wax but takes stains off. (A "Cleaner Wax" will also work.
Apply a coat of wax and buff by hand.

Think about doing a "Ceramic Coating" yourself.

A quality brand of swirl remover will do the job. It's a mild enough cutting solution that a layman would have a real difficult time of hurting their paint.

Had a big spot on our 2020 X3 hood about (2” x 3”), tried several hand compounds, cleaners, clay bars etc but what got it off was 3M 3000 then 5000 grit wet sanding. It had got deep into the clearcoat they only way to get it off was hand sanding then compound by hand. Don’t get too aggressive on the grit or you can run through the clearcoat.
