Best Way to Clean Mesh Sunroof Deflector?

Hey there! I have a Lariat with the mesh sunroof deflector. I noticed it had accumulated some bug guts and dirt from use and with sunroof season here again, I was wanting to get it cleaned up.

Does anyone have a method they like or find works best with the mesh material? I didn’t see any previous threads on the topic when I searched a few times. Seems like maybe a rag with hot water and soap would get the job done but was curious to hear other folks’ thoughts. Thanks in advance?

Do you bother rinsing or just call it good with a bit soap and water? I also assume you leave it up to dry for a bit?

My last vehicle that I had one I never let it dry I just washed it if it needed it then close the moonroof.

Nevermind. I do have one. I thought the poster was referring to a mesh slide cover for the entire sunroof. Wish I had one of those!
