Best rack for hauling extension ladders

Hey all,
I just got my maverick a few days ago and I'm in need of a ladder rack that is capable of carrying long extension ladders, which are about 17-18' end to end. I am hoping to use a tonneau cover also, so I was checking into the Elevate rack system with a Gator SRX roll-up bed cover. This is the most budget friendly option I could find, and it's still about $1300+. I asked a rep from realtruck.com if these racks would be capable of hauling long ladders and they said yes. But I'm not so sure.. it looks like the racks will only sit about 3.5-4' apart from each other front to back, and I'll have a significant amount of ladder hanging over the cab.
Should I give up on my dream of having a tonneau cover with racks and get a bigger rack system that hangs over the cab?

I like my Elevate FS rack and would highly recommend it. I bought it used for $750CAD and would never spend that amount of money on brand new. Just not worth it for me.

As a used unit...I love it for the price.

I wanted the hard rollup tonneau cover and the only rack that will work with this tonneau cover was the Elevate rack. without any modifications. I use this rack to carry my 17' wood kayak. I have no issues driving down the highway at 75. I center the kayak between the rack and I do tie a red flag at the end of my kayak.

Nice kayak. My Amazon rack is hitch mounted so no problem with my hard tonneau cover. With your rack you could put a tarp over it and sleep in the bed at the put-in.
