This may pertain to others more than me, but where would be the best place to list my current Maverick or future EB order for sale?

I've gotten offers from Cargurus, Vroom and the usual suspects already, but they are giving me less than the XL values for some reason. I'd prefer not to sell to these resellers and have read horror stories, but also fearful of getting scammed elsewhere on the interwebs. The dealer would likely buy back for MSRP, but I might as well just keep it at that point as prices are likely to rise for 2023 with likely no differences in features worthy of paying sales tax again (6% in MI).

I had placed an order for an Ecoboost XLT (at under MSRP, so I put a deposit on an order) Long story short, the dealer messed up while in a hurry entering my build, put in the wrong color, omitted the Luxury package and now can't add these features or change the build. Not too upset now and can live without all those extra heaters in seats and whatnot.

I simply can't keep both and figure my current Lariat would be of higher value especially being a Hybrid and harder to find. I eventually want to order a 2024/5 with some optimism for similar pricing and updated features. I have no desire for all the driving aids, and I fear by then they will be standard... decisions, decisions.. if only I knew was Ford was planning on for upcoming model years *insert crystal ball*

Any input would be appreciated!! Thanks all!

I would try to sell to a forum member. Take all your costs and maybe add just a little. You would break even and make someone happy.

if you think you are going to make a huge profit after paying all your costs, it might not happen.

If you put it on Ebay for 2K over Msrp it will sell in hours possibly minutes - just be really careful of scumbags. Get a deposit to hold then dont take any weird payment methods. I prefer to use a escrow for large ticket items - check out Escrow.com - https://www.escrow.com/ Ive had good luck with them.

As long as you have title in hand it will be easy to sell.

Nope. It was financed by Ford Credit. I don't have the means to pay off fully at present.

I know someone who got 33k for their Hybrid XL with zero options on Offerup. Another one is listed for 38k on craigslist with no options either.

Personally I don’t buy private party unless the title is on the table, but there are more trusting people than me out there. No way I’m paying off your loan 😂
