My maverick should be here in the next couple months, and I am planning bedliner and tonneau.
Now i plan on keeping this truck until it drops, hopefully that's 20yrs plus we'll see...

I do live in the rust belt and that's my biggest concern when it comes to longevity. The truck will not be getting big mileage as it will be the primary vehicle only really in the winter months and I work from home. The truck will be visiting krown annually.

SO i am considering line-x spray in vs the bedrug full liner. They are both going to be around the same price here i think. Will be combined with a hard tonneau.

I know one of the concerns with a drop in is they can shift, wearing through paint on the bed, potentially leading to rust, so a hard drop in is out, but i expect that may not be a concern with the bedrug liner. Now what about moisture trapped between liner and bed with the bedrug?

Thoughts about long long term liners?

As somebody who has had a spray in liner for the past 25 years in 5 different trucks, I opted for the full Bedrug in my Maverick. I have no long-term concerns and really don't think moisture under the liner will be an issue since the Bedrug is a closed-cell foam and will not hold moisture.

For me, my plan was to use the bed more like a large trunk. If I'm hauling any large lumber or any mulch/stone/dirt, I use a small utility trailer. On the few occasions when I need to put something muddy or greasy in the bed, I have a couple of cheap waterproof lightweight pocket camping tarps stored in the bed cubby.

If you plan to use it more like a traditional truck bed, I would go with the spray in liner.
