I occasionally need quick access to the full bed size when I am running errands.

What are some of the most affordable hard folding covers that allow full us of the bed? (I found some really affordable ones, but it looks like 2/3 only opens up.)

My next option is the consider a soft roll up cover? How user friendly are these? How long does it take to roll back? Do you have to get in the bed to roll them back? Any concerns of longevity with using them twice a week?

Anyting else I should consider?

Lots of personal opinions and info in all kinds of previous threads/post on the subject in the forum. IMO, stick with a name brand if your concerned with longevity. As you probably know, there are numerous styles and personal likes/dislikes, personally I LOVE my UnderCover UltraFlex tri-fold cover. https://undercoverinfo.com/undercover-ultra-flex/2023/ford/maverick
Good Luck.

I have tried all kinds over the years. Although a lot of people love the trifold, to me it is not practical when you need to open full bed. Yes, you can fold it up, but when you do, it covers the back window and you cannot see out of it. I know someone is going to come right back and tell me to use the mirrors, but believe it or not, I already knew that. Soft roll ups go from $179 on Amazon to up to what you want to spend. I have used a cheap one that lasted 2+ years with constant use. I presently have Truxedo that is great, but more expensive. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

I use the Gator SFX soft cover.

I am very happy with Tyger T3 trifold. Fits like a glove and it came with a bottle of protectant and various sizes of foam for sealing areas around the bed and great customer service. Can't beat it for the money $215. It is very easy to remove and it comes with it's own bag for storage.

I drove a Chevy Silverado for almost 17 years and never had a tonneau cover. I purchased a soft roll up for my Maverick and it looked great, however, when I went to roll it up it took me several try's to get it rolled up correctly. In the end, I told myself that if i wanted an SUV I would have purchased one, however, I bought a truck. I packed it up and sent it back to the vendor. I had a Line-X spray in bed liner installed (it looks fantastic! only way to go IMO) and I am going to go naked so to speak. You should be able to throw things in a truck with out having to go through a production every time. If I travel I throw a soft car top carrier in the back, put our luggage in it and away we go. Just one man's opinion. I hope this makes since, the cover just wasn't for me.
