I’ve been following threads looking for a bed mat that would not trap water between the box and the mat. After replacing my computer chair mat and hauling the old one out to the garage, it dawned on me that those tiny carpet grippers on the chair mat could raise it up above the bed yet allow air in to dry it out. Old mat nice fit new truck.

Interesting. How is it to kneel on ? Also, how is your roll up Tonneau cover in keeping the water out ?

The OEM roll up cover is a problem as it leaks water at the corners as reported in other posts so I needed something that would not trap water. The spikes are down the smooth surface is up so while not cushy it allows items to slide across smoothly including my knees.

Yup, also problem free with the DIBL. Took it off after 3 years of heavay, dirty use. Good as new with only a few specs of dirt under it.

Thanks for this post. I'm getting ready to install one on my new Maverick. I picked up the package from Ford last week. I have an XL so I am a little worried about doing cutouts for the cubbys and a bed rail I want to install after the DIBL is in.

Thank you for this. I have one installed now. Will do the other when I remove covers for both before I do the sides/cutting etc. So far, I have just installed the tailgate piece. Going to bite the bullet and finally get the rest installed this week.
