Barcode wrapped up with owners manual

Recently I took delivery of my hybrid maverick that I ordered in July. But packaged with the owners manual was this barcode. I contacted my dealer and have talked to a couple people and they are not sure. I was thinking it was the FITS Kit but not sure where or how to redeem it. Anyone know anything about it?

The kit should have been sent to the dealer

Don't think it's related to that...it's just a code to keep track of the manual and other inserts from an inventory perspective.

I just bought a new Escape and the owner's manual had a barcode bundled in it as well. I have still yet to open the manual.

Did any of you get a key code in your glove box? There was supposed to be one that has the information for ordering a new key fob but I didn't get one and when I asked the sales guy he said contact the parts department??

Crap - just realized that this was a dead thread... Oh well if anybody has an answer please post
