Bakflip G2 Rail Clamps?

Has anyone had any issues installing a Bakflip G2 on their maverick? I got during Black Friday and it seems like no matter how I install the rail, the clamps do not match the pictures in the install guide. It’s in a position where it is on there but the latches won’t close correctly. I don’t think it’ll fly off going 65 down the highway but I’d really like it if the clamps actually worked like the manual says.

There are (shorter) alternate clamps available, I have both ... the short ones also don't get in the way of the side rails like yours do

Did you have to buy them / do you have a link or is that a mistake from Realtruck or Bak that they’ll just fix?

The first photo you have used the bottom notch and looks okay to me. The second photo you have used the top notch. Try using the bottom notch.

The short ones came with the OEM hard roll-up that I bought used

The long ones came with my Bak elevate TS rail kit

That does not match the instructions and the rail falls off if other clamps are not clamped like the other picture

Double check your instructions, I think u want the top notch for all of then

These are Realtruck’s instructions.

Pay close attention to picture. You do not have the foot of the clamp seated in the rail. You need to unscrew the bolt enough so the clamp can be tilted enough to properly enter the rail. Look at red circles in picture labeled 1 and 2.

Perhaps you need some clamps like these?

I know. The clamp doesn’t fit. It hits the top of that lip. That’s the issue

Have you tried sliding clamp in from the end of the rail?
ETA: They came with my Leer Quad fold top
