Looks like it barely fits.

Yea that's what worries me too. Lots of reports about the side stripping being too short.
With mine, if I followed their instructions the back edge of the rail wasn’t even with the front of the tailgate. So I slide them back a little, it wasn’t that much.
While the body is mass produced, not every one is not the same.

About as expected then. I've done tonneau covers before as well and it's a learning curve for sure. Same with fender flares. I always think something doesn't line up and then I realize I just rushed it and wasn't paying attention.

At least the bed of this truck actually "seals". The Tacoma I have has "breathe holes" all over the place and they call it a feature. I learned that after I got it of course. Such a PITA and a cheap feeling bed. Anyways... thanks for the advice. Mine will be under a carport so it's not a huge deal either, but you know how it goes in the snow/freezing rain.

I really like the look of this one too. My other option is a Lomax tri-fold, which I currently have on my Tacoma. It's a decent cover, I just wanted to try something with a bit more room and the ability to roll it up, and since the nicer roll down options are like double the price, the X4s enticed me.

I got a couple months left so I'm going to wait and do more research. Pretty sure I've encountered every thread about them so far though lol.
To be fair the Maverick has gaps between the bed plate and side walls along the bottom edge, so it breaths too.

Surprised no one has responded to the last two posts with questions.
