Back up cameras repair?

What I find particularly disturbing and irresponsible is that these dealerships are advertising the 2024 Maverick XLT's as in stock and for sale when in reality they cannot be sold in their current condition...

Not uncommon, and no different than stealerships listing customer orders on their websites, in hopes of getting you to come in and get lassoed by a salesperson, only to find out that it's a customer order, then trying to sell you something off their lot. I guess that also provides them with interested buyers if the person who ordered the truck abandons the order.

When I was searching initially I was finding many examples at several dealers of what turned out to be special orders not even delivered yet - but they listed them and showed the specs and such. Maybe they did know abandoned already. One such page I finally scrolled down just enough to see not delivered, then another dealer doing the same thing had another special spot showing was actually special order not delivered.
Goofy. Like you said, covering their bases I guess.

I hope a software fix does the trick this time. A hardware solution may not be as elegant.

Ford does that automatically, it's not the dealer that lists customer orders on the dealer page.

Oh yes, let's get a class action going so that the attorneys can get bank and we get a ten percent off coupon for Ford Accessories.

That actually sounds better than a check in the mail for $8.17.

Cant see them doing that, the cost of that vs a software fix must be huge.

So what if software is not the problem?
What would be the lead time to design a replacement camera without the problem test the software with the new one and make 500000-1500000. Geeze if they need a new chip made it may take 12-24 months to schedule production.

What’s up with the back up camera repair?
I heard a rumor that there’s a class action lawsuit against Ford for the back up camera problems and delays in releasing the Mavericks.
Does anyone know where I can sign up for that?
I would think that a big company like Ford would have some good IT guys that could fix it quickly. What up Ford?

I just received a recall notice on it today, it said they are working on a software update and would announce when it was ready.
