I’m about to upgrade the speakers in my B&O system, and I can’t find a definitive answer about wiring the tweeters.
I understand the tweeters are run by a dedicated Chanel on the B&O amplifier, so I assumed the amp would only supply them with the appropriate high frequencies they can handle. However, I’ve read on here that the stock tweeters have capacitors built into them as high pass filters, suggesting that they are receiving a full range signal. I also thought it’s possible Ford used the tweeters from the non B&O system, or from their parts bin somewhere, in the B&O system and therefore they could have the high pass capacitor on them and not really need it With the B&O amp. Any clarification would be helpful.
Also, any help with stock wiring colors connecting to the + and - on the new tweeters would be helpful, to ensure I get the phasing correct. I understand there aren’t any plug n play harnesses available.
Thanks in advance for any help.
