Finally picked up my Maverick today and can’t figure out whether my truck has the capability to lock its doors when you’ve left the vehicle with your key. I thought just about every vehicle had this capability now, but if it’s there I can’t find it. There’s some setting that supposedly allows that to happen when you’ve left “Use phone as key” but I can’t figure out how to do that either. I’ve found a few YouTube videos but I don’t seem to have the options in settings to do this. Mine is a Lariat so I would think it has what anyone else has but maybe not.

Yeah...it's just a habit I have to get out of. Just being able to walk away. My Honda CR-V did it automatically. Seems like a no brainer kind of option Ford should have added.

Nope.
No Auto lock regardless of your Mavericks trim level.

Owner activated is a different story. 😂 See video.👉.................👇

Common problem. at least in my truck. the lock is really close to the door handle i accidently lock the drivers door from time to time. i just go to the passenger door and unlock the door. it is inconvenient but its something to get used to. 2024 Maverick Tremor Lariat.

This isn't the typical topic about auto locking--in this case, the OP wants the truck to lock itself.

Yeah, missed that. Do not like auto lock. But, to each his/her own. Thanks for the catch.

I had the same issue when I realized that the lock door button is right on the side of the door latch. When unlatching the door and pushing it open, your had presses that button and manually locks your door.
Poor design in placement.

There is NO auto lock on any Maverick, regardless of trim level.
You are hitting the lock lever with your hand when you open the door. Because of that. The only door that was locked was your driver's door.

This issue was even addressed by Ford early on. With a technical service bulletin
