I’m not sure if this has been covered but i finally found a pic of the ARE V series that they were taking pre orders on.
This looks way better than the snug top ford one.

what’s your input?

no clue on price, just saw it and Posted it.

Thanks for finding and posting the pic, but I think it's going to be too low to work with. At least for a 6-footer like myself.

Way better looking than the DCU. I wonder what heights they will have. Looks like they have the window options I need and are available with racks like I need. I am gonna have to price on up and get me a quote.

Just last week I received a quote for basic V-series. $1950 15weeks lead.

I'm curious if the topper/cap door is at eye level when open. This scares me with the snugtop.

My dealer told me 20wks - probably to make me not get upset about it being even longer. I think he said $1750, but apparently I didn't write it down which is odd... He probably said $1950.

You can get it in any A.R.E. paint code you want, which is good, being Leer on the west coast will only do Maverick paint codes, and I want matte black.

I share your concern with the height. I'm only 5'9", but when I stand next to the front of the bed and look across to the other side, the CHMSL is entirely under my eyeline, which makes me think I'll be stooping do look into the cap...

You should be able to get it with the OTR.

Definitely can, but should also be able to get it in stock Jeep matte black, at no extra cost. The dealer I spoke to says he does that regularly for other models.

Definitely better than the ford snug, but something still seems a little awkward about it. Maybe it will look better in darker colors? I wish we had a full profile view to get a better idea of whats going on with the roof line an so on...

I think the SnugTop looks better, too.

It looks to me like they did two things, though the angle of the picture could be messing with it. But I think they split the difference in the height…it’s not quite as high at the front as the highest point on the roof, but it’s not as low as the rear of the roof. Looks about half way in between. But the other thing I think they did was I don’t think it’s “flat.” I think it rises gently to get some more rear opening room. I’d love to see someone take a tap measure inside at the front edge of it down to the bed itself and then the same at the rear. I’ll bet it kicks up an inch or more.

Anyway, darker colored ones would definitely look better than the white does, but I still think overall the SnugTop looks more like it belongs than this one does.

I just ordered one in Canada today. I like the look of it way better than the Snugtop and I also want to customize it to my liking. I ordered the flip open side windows so you can get at all areas of the bed without climbing in. Also got the flip down rear window so it's easier to clean and no carpet along the inside of the canopy. Didn't add any lighting or anything else.

The Snugtop was quoted as $4918 plus taxes from the dealer. The V-Series (as I specced it) is $4310 +taxes so ~$600 cheaper and the custom side windows are $1k so it would be even cheaper without them. Both prices are absurd though. I paid like $3500 for a Z-series with all the options on my F150 in 2017. Both Ford and ARE quoted a 6-8 week turnaround for the canopy too. (all CAD prices)

Will update on how the ordering goes and will post photos when I get it. Don't even have my Maverick yet though so I'm not in a rush. It's currently in purgatory at the rail yard here for some reason.

Looks great.

I miss having a topper for my truck. I used to sleep in my old '89 Toyota Pickup with a long bed. But the Maverick's bed is too short for me to sleep in, so I'm not getting a topper.

All of that said, I have wondered about some kind of cloth extension that I could snap over the open tailgate and topper to keep my feet dry and the bugs out. If someone made something like that, I might consider a topper at some point.

Sounds like something you could sew up.
