I am not from your area but saw this pop up on Facebook and it is something I am thinking about attending.

Didn't know if any other Mavericks owners have seen it or not.

My family is in Southern WV, and I am in Indiana, so will probably take the whole following week off work and visit them.

I agree. It will be hard to beat the Appalachian Mountains, and the people from there.

I will try and find out more info. See what type of space they would give to Mavericks.

Over the last year and a half I have talked to some other club members in middle and east Tn also one who lives in ky and is building a house in North Carolina hope they might be interested also

Speaking of the Appalacians, the Trans American Trail starts in the Appalacians. Thats as overland as it gets.

This looks interesting, but relatively small. I already have the Overland Expo East on my calendar for Oct. 6-8 in Virginia. So, no way I will make both events from Pennsylvania.

Overland Expo East is a fairly large event. Anyway, I already have relationships with a couple manufacturers that will be exhibiting at Overland Expo, and it looks to be a really fun weekend with lots of hands-on activities to drive your vehicle and also lots of educational opportunities and rubbing shoulders with others who have built awesome overlanding rigs.

Asked on one of their Facebook ads about MTC parking area. They asked if there would be any camping. They also said buy tickets and they would accommodate.

I think it would be fun to get a group of us to camp there. Be it trailer, roof top tent, or tent.

Guess there are classes and trail maps of the local area along with some guided trail tours.
