My Maverick should arrive by the end of July, so it is just a little early to actually apply for a loan.

I’ve done a web search, and poked around on the Ford fiance site, but I can’t find their actual best rate for Maverick financing. Incentive rates for other models and leasing rates are all that I find. My credit union is currently 4.25% for 48 months. I would like to know if Ford will beat that rate?
I could not get actual numbers from Ford Credit, even after my pre-approval. They told me I had to go through my dealer. One of my banks had a better rate than Ford when I actually picked up my truck. 4.25% from your credit union is very good I would say.

Once it ships, get pre-approved from that Credit Union and just tell Ford you are financing externally and to prepare a buyers order according to the instructions from the CU.
DO NOT waste your time asking if they can beat the rate. It will only waste an hour of your time while they go off and try and figure out how they can pad the deal.
I made that mistake. They won't be able to come anywhere close to 4.25%

Ford will not beat that rate on a Maverick.

That's a good rate, Ford cannot beat it and you should try and lock in. The only thing better is if Ford would come up with a promotional rate.

Wow, I got 1.9 through FMC last October. The closer started at 4.9. I did have a 14k trade in with above 800 credit score. They have wiggle room, it just depends on credit score and down payment. Two weeks later I got a rejection notice for the 4.9 because my credit score was too low.. I took the letter in and them laughing saying it’s the best score he’s ever seen.. except my wife’s. Asked if he could keep the letter and frame it. Umm no..

I’m just saying they have wiggle room if the conditions are right.
