Sunroof is quite a opinionated option. Some love them, as a over 20 year service department employee they are just something that loves to leak or malfunction to me.

Had the dual panel moonroof in my f150 and that was horrible. Thing rattled or the rubber gasket would make noise. Sometimes it would stop working when closing or opening. The the plastic frame broke. There are pages of problems on the f150 forums about them. The smaller ones are more reliable, but its one more thing to break, the seals go bad getting baked in the North Carolina heat, if you get caught in hail it could be a very bad day.

I never left the sunshade open during the summer because it was way to hot. The last down fall for me is the things are usually not far enough forward to add to the open feeling for the front passengers. You get light but not the sky, like if you open a bronco or jeep soft top, the open outdoor feel since it opens from the front window back is really nice, but my sunroofs just bakes my head.
Always wanted a moon roof. My wife's Honda years ago had one and her Rav4. Rarely drive her car but enjoyed the Honda moon roof. The Rav4, like you say is to far back to see the sky in the front and will rarely have people in the back. But still think about it. Initially like some else that opted for the luxury package and save the money for a tonneau cover. However if bumped to MY23 will consider it again as been saving on excise take. But always do come back with it is too far back.

Then again have watched how to save the battery and having the moonroof and back window open is suppose to provide good air flow and reduce your electric battery.

Question does the a/c run off the 1.1kw battery or the 12volt behind the seat?
