My initial build was cheaper then the window sticker by $600CAD. Good thing I have a copy of what I signed so they can't jack up the price to the window sticker. So mine will be under the window stickers MSRP.
Smart!
When did you get this?

Received the VIN and order number today from the dealer. Exacrly two weeks after placing the order. He says I have a build date of May 2nd.

He expressed some stress about promising delivery times these days, so only time will tell if I receive it before August 31. But that's a pretty good start as far as I can tell.

I paid $28,500.00 and they honored the lower interest of 3.50% because that was the % when I ordered it last June. In January the interest went up to 3.99% plus they threw in the nicer Maverick all weather mats. So maybe this is how you can lower the price by getting the dealer to throw in stuff

I did not shop far and wide for my Maverick. MSRP (locked to date of order) is what I paid at an Edmonton dealership. No fees. Ordered in January. Oddly enough it sounds pretty much like what was ordered here (Lariat, Lux, 4k, FX4). Interesting that you were able to get a VIN and build date so quickly. Another shining example of Ford's wonky system.

My understanding is it has to do with dealer allocation and that this dealer was allocated additional build spots because of volume they move. Buy who knows.

Sounds like we will ultimately have the same truck. Do you have a build date from the January order?

I emailed a few around langley/Surrey, BC area, got one agreed to do MSRP with no other fees. all other want 500+ doc fee. But that was last July. Right now I doubt the dealer I purchased from would do that deal cause they would add $5k markup for any stock mavericks.

Can confirm three weeks ago Langley went under msrp with no doc fee. All other lower mainland dealerships quoted MSRP plus a doc fee around $500. Kelowna beat Langleys offer by a bit. I didn't have a single dealership quote over MSRP in BC.

Really? man I contacted all langley dealer back in July. None would want to scrap the doc fee. Anyway, I made the order predicting the price would go up, quick. And I was right. I priced the same thing on Ford.ca the other day, now it is $1360 more than it was back last July.
Only regret I should have ordered XLT than base XL.

I have no information yet. No VIN, no dates. After reading these posts, I have emailed my dealer to ask if there is any update. Curious to see what they say.

Ya really. I think alot can change with that amount of time in between and we probably spoke to different sales people at different stages of their experience/month end/motivation/knowledge etc.

Interesting how the price increased since July but by now discounting MSRP their bottom line is probably about the same, even with the price increase.

Hopefully the dealer has some good news for you, let us know what they come back with.

I should mention I phoned ford Canada yesterday asking about my order number. The next day (today), I have an order, VIN, and build date and a stressed salesman (not my intention to stress him).

The lady I spoke with at ford Canada was excellent and clearly followed up with the dealer. It's definitely not a cooincidence that I received all that info the day after calling.

Interesting. Never thought about calling Ford Canada. May give them a call to see what they say.

Yes I was able to get it 600 under MSRP with 750 referral going to my friend, which we are splitting.

Total of 975 isn't bad - however, the dealer fees were 499 or something if I recall, so it's all a wash haha.

My second mav is 200 discount with 399 dealer fee.
Some Dealers here in Edmonton are minimum $2500 over MSRP. They will not even sell you an in stock Maverick with out a trade in or honor X plan. It's like the wild west out here. Amvic needs to start enforcing the all in pricing and stop the other shady tactics that are going on with consumers.

That’s not what all in pricing means. It means: the dealer must advertise the price, including fees, freight, PDI, everything except GST.

The idea is to stop them advertising at MSRP, you go in, and get a different number. That is not ok. Advertising a 10k over MSRP truck is ok. Up to the person if they want to buy it.

"In stock" Maverick pricing is getting out of hand. Seeing up to 15k in Calgary on XLT and any hybrid and almost as much in Edmonton (seen 12,000). Even the smaller more rural dealerships are in on it now (5 to 7k markup). I know it is not breaking the law but it sure feels slimy to me.

No news on my order - still no VIN and no new information from my dealer. Now closing in on 3 months - ordered Jan 15.
