Anyone hear of a Pricing difference between Ford's online tool and the Dealer?

I just got off the phone with Ford CS. No build date yet . . .:cautious: They did note that I was eligible for a Private Offer however and they gave me a code for dealer lookup. I reached out to the dealer and asked them to decode the offer number - seems like it would just be a lookup but taking forever. For kicks, I also had them run a new price if I upgraded my 2023 EB XL order to the same equipment but in XLT trim. Previous threads noted that XLT trim is underbooked and XL is overbooked. I also went online and ran the same equipment package on Ford's build site. Long story short - the dealer pricing for the XLT turned out to be exactly $1,000 HIGHER than the online build total. Doesn't seem right to me that this would exist so I figured I'd ask the "community".

Any thoughts?

I've seen the online build tool be wrong before. I don't know if it is in this case or not.
Did the dealer send you order preview from WBDO? That is currently pricing directly from Ford - not something made up by dealer.

Last time I checked there was between 2,100 and 2,200 difference between an XL and an XLT. I would think the online build total is correct unless there is some increase that has not been posted yet.

Seems a bit odd.

MSRP is suggested. Dealer can technically charge whatever they want. Most don't, but they can.

Did they provide a breakdown? You could then look at some of the older posts from September and compare the line item pricing.

I did not get any paperwork from the dealer, just an email with the total. Going to stick with my original order at this point and hope for the best.

My invoice from the dealer is about $3000.00 LESS than the online tool. I do not know what the final bill will be.
