I didn’t know they had one for the Mav yet. They’re awesome looking covers. I usually see them on Tacos around here in Southern Cali. Very expensive though. I’m curious to see what the Mav one will look like.

Pretty cool heavy duty covers. They have the Mav as an option on the drop down menu but I have yet to see one installed on their social media.
WOW, not bad .... $1399 for aluminum DiamondBack SE for the Maverick. The videoes make it look indestructible. If I was hauling as much as what's in the video, I would get one, but they are expensive.

Thanks for the share.

Pretty cool, right? Break-ins are common where I live so the extra security of this cover is appealing. I also think it would be a cool way to carry bikes, since they have hard mounts for racks and cross bars.

the only thing I don’t like about these covers besides the price is it doesn’t seem convenient to take off if you need to haul stuff taller than the bed. But I guess most people who get them don’t have this problem. They’re usually truck bros that are into camping (or at least pretend they are).

Heavy at 90 lbs for aluminum per website.
Agreed, unless you plan to leave it, it is very inconvenient to remove and reinstall every time you want to use the bed for a tall load.

I figure if you're planning on hauling something tall, you leave the panel at home. If it's unexpected, you could probably put the panel in the bed or secure it on top of the cover using the included tie downs. Definitely not as convenient as folding it back, like other covers.

not nearly as practical as hard tri-folding. Cant really see any advantages either

I looked them up a few weeks ago as I was sitting at a light and saw a Ranger with a Diamondback cover on. Looks pretty beefed up, but as others have said, it would be cumbersome when you need to use the truck for truck stuff.

That looks great. how do you like it now that you have had it for a while?

i was looking for a one piece fiberglass cap but this certainly looks like it will do the same job.

I originally was going to get the OEM Snug Top cap….then I got hooked on Diamondback. I like it a lot. Gets lots of complements. They are a PA company so that was bonus to me. As far as would I buy again. Yes. It is expensive, but super rugged and secure. Works for my needs.

thanks

it is on the top of the list now. the smooth black finish looks great!

when i said cap i didn't mean like a camper shell i was thinking more like the one piece fiberglass bed covers they used to make. either i do not know the correct term or they just do not make them anymore.

well i found one:

i guess i was just blind.

Diamondbacks are a solid product. I’m a land surveyor and currently have two diamondbacks on work trucks, a 2008 Chevy Silverado (so 14 years old) and a 7 year old cover that is now on a powerboost F150, that survived my 2015 Silverado getting totaled earlier this year.

Both covers get hard use daily by a survey crew. I like the decent security they offer, the newer one is “heavy duty”which means it is a bit taller and has thicker aluminum. It was worth the extra money. Both are plain aluminum, as I think the black would be really hot. Handy to stand on. You can lash stuff to the cover too.

Think of these as permanent installations. It would be a pain to remove.

I will be purchasing a Diamondback for MY23 when it arrives. I plan to do a lot of hunting/camping and will keep a lot of equipment in my truck at all times for it so I need a secure/rugged tonneau cover.
